Storyline:
In dystopian future, the totalitarian nation of Panem is divided between the 12 districts and the capital. Each year, two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. Part entertainment, part brutal retribution for past rebellion TV games broadcast throughout Panem. 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors, while the citizens of Panem required to watch. When 16-year-old boy Katnisss sister, Prim, is selected District Representative 12s girl, Katniss volunteers to take her place. She and her male counterpart, Peeta, tackle bigger, stronger representatives, some of which have been specially trained for this my whole life.
